National Library Lover’s Month in February is dedicated to the people who love libraries. Libraries provide a place for us to discover great books and learn about history. They help us with homework, research papers, and science projects. They provide a quiet space to study and learn. But libraries do so much more:
- Libraries provide educational entertainment for preschoolers, like story time.
- Libraries provide communities for meeting space for celebrations, meetings, socials, fundraisers, and classes.
- Libraries provide resources for researching family and community history.
- Libraries lend other media like movies and music that can be enjoyed at home.
- Libraries offer digital resources, like our fabulous Maker Space, for the entire community to use.
- Libraries provide rotating art displays give local artists exposure to the community.
