If you’ve ever heard that question, this podcast episode is for you! In a special edition of HCPL’s podcast, “Using our Library Voices”, guest panelists Becky Berry, Susan Greer, Marianne Kolar (President of Friends of Evelyn Meador Library), and Peggy Kruckemeyer discuss all things Friends!  As members of both their branch Friends groups and the Harris County Friends of the Library, these Friends have decades of experience working with Friends of the Library groups. In the episode, they discuss what it means to be a Friend, what is involved in being an active member, how to join, and more!

The Friends of Evelyn Meador Library have pledged to work with the Harris County Public Library and the City of Seabrook to make our library a wonderful resource for our coastal community. Bring us your gently used books!

If you have books you would like to donate, bring them by the Friends Bookstore! We’re located inside the Evelyn Meador Library just as you enter through the main doors to the left. We accept all gently used books; no magazines, cassettes or VHS tapes, please. We’re typically open when the library is open if volunteers are available to staff it. All money raised by the Friends Bookstore support Evelyn Meador Library programs. Donations can be dropped off at the bookstore during normal operating hours. Please call ahead for large donations so that we can arrange for storage. We look forward to seeing you!
