Evelyn Meador Library will be hosting a Petting Zoo and Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 8th from 11 am-3 pm. The Friends of Evelyn Meador will be hosting a book sale. Your contributions help support library programs and projects that benefit the surrounding communities which we serve.

While the library offers many programs throughout the year, none is more anticipated than the annual Summer Reading Program. You can help the Harris County Friends of the Library support Harris County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program by donating during National Library Week, April 3-9. As one of our Kingwood Library customers says: “Love how there are so many opportunities for the kids when it comes to programming.”
National Library Lover’s Month in February is dedicated to the people who love libraries. Libraries provide a place for us to discover great books and learn about history. They help us with homework, research papers, and science projects. They provide a quiet space to study and learn. But libraries do so much more:
Libraries provide educational entertainment for preschoolers, like story time.
Libraries provide communities for meeting space for celebrations, meetings, socials, fundraisers, and classes.
Libraries provide resources for researching family and community history.
Libraries lend other media like movies and music that can be enjoyed at home.
Libraries offer digital resources, like our fabulous Maker Space, for the entire community to use.
Libraries provide rotating art displays give local artists exposure to the community.
